12:45 PM: Ron Harvey will guide workshop participants in analyzing a diverse group of objects to determine how to best preserve them and demonstrate some preservation techniques. This will include examining the issues that effect the preservation of the organic materials and when professional treatments are needed. He will also address health issues related to some preserved organic materials.
1:45 PM -. Participants’ Question and Answer/Discussion - Participants are encouraged to bring photograph(s) of organic or composite objects in their collections. Ron Harvey will offer comments and advice on how to best preserve and house them.

The workshop will begin in the Good Will-Hinckley Visitors Center, the
building with the blue roof, one Campus entrance north of the Museum off RT.210.
Please bring a sack lunch. Drinks and morning muffins will be provided.
